What kinds of non-conformities can you face?
Our business requires constant vigilance to maintain optimal quality of our packaging and therefore of the product it protects. Most non-conformities take the form of dents, crumpled labels, drops of product on the packaging, and missing or poorly positioned caps.
What risks do these non-conformities expose you to?
As you might expect, the types of risk vary depending on the defects encountered. To take the examples mentioned above, bumps or dents on our packaging increase its fragility and therefore the risk of product spillage. The same applies when we find missing or poorly placed caps. These non-conformities can therefore cause serious problems during transport. We are thinking in particular of the risks of pollution and damage to the delivery vehicle. Also, when a label is crumpled or missing, the safety instructions are illegible or even completely absent. More generally, when the packaging has a defect, our company's brand image is severely affected. So, to anticipate the risks of non-conformity and significantly increase the effectiveness of quality inspections, we chose to adopt the Psycle solution.

What impact has the Psycle solution had?
Before the vision system was installed, we had a statistical recording system on our packaging lines. This allowed us to focus our improvement work in general terms. With the integration of the Psycle system, and in particular the vision-based defect detection system, we have been able to target areas for improvement with greater precision, and also to act in real time on all detected defects. Today, we have seen fewer production stoppages as well as better control and traceability of production.
