Automating the picking of loose parts remains one of the most concrete challenges on production lines.

At the show organized by CTA Technologies, the Psycle teams presented a 3D bin picking solution in real conditions: locating stacked and jumbled parts, calculating gripping points, then guiding the robot, cycle after cycle.

At the heart of the setup, a Balluff EMEA 3D camera handles acquisition. A principle we often recall: the reliability of a detection depends first and foremost on the quality of the image.

The benefits for the manufacturer are direct: more reliable line feeding, less manual handling and fewer arduous tasks, and integration into existing robotic cells.

Meziane B. and Océane D. represented Psycle, the vision partner of manufacturers and special-purpose machine builders, to discuss these integration challenges.

Thank you to CTA TECHNOLOGIES for organizing this event.
